A3 Recycle Crew
The A3 Autzen Recycle Crew is the P3 Parent Group’s largest fundraiser. We need a team of about 30 people to work each Duck home game. It’s about a 2-3 hour time commitment, and you would get to stay and watch the game for free if you like. It’s easy work, and most folks say it’s quite fun. <download a flyer here>
Email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or to sign up. It’s really important for you to come when you say you will come. (Call Eva at 541.228.4080 if you need to cancel.) The more people who attend, the quicker everyone gets out of there!

Who can participate?
Anyone over 12, really – students, parents, grandparents, family friends. Please let us know how many people to expect. All we ask is that you show up when you say you’re going to show up and help the team.
What do we have to do?
All you do is tell people as they enter the stadium which bin to toss their containers into, then work as a team to clean out the bins at the end of the first quarter. You may need to pull out materials that are incorrectly recycled – you will have grabbers for that purpose. <watch a basic video>
Are there any physical limitations?
You must be able to stand for three hours and do some basic cleaning tasks (push barrels, work a hose, stack buckets, etc.).
Where do we meet?
A3 Recycle volunteers meet at the East Gate 1-1/2 hours before the start of the game. Be aware as you approach that there will be a sign for “Volunteers” – don’t do it! A3 volunteers meet AT the gate itself.
Please don’t be late to make sure you get your gate assignment. If you want to stay with your family or friends, just let the gate captain know. Captains will be identified with A3 Recycle Crew caps.
How do we get there?
Get directions here. Parking at the game is limited and expensive. If you’re getting dropped off, prepare to walk from one of the stadium entrances.
Can we get bus passes?
We highly recommend the LTD shuttle. Free shuttle passes are available for pickup at A3 the week before each game.<view a list of shuttle locations> (Note that A3 doors generally close at 4:30 each day.) Many people choose to park at A3 and take the shuttle from the nearby Springfield station.
The shuttle will drop you at the South Gate, and you’ll need to walk around the stadium to the East Gate. Shuttle passes are also good for valet bike parking, which is available at the South Gate.
Note: Passes for the first game will be available at registration on 8/30.
Note: Shuttles depart at half time and at the end of the game.
How should we dress?
Dress appropriately for potentially messy physical work and for the weather. That means rain gear if it’s going to be rainy, jackets or sweatshirts if it’s chilly – you WILL be in the elements. Gloves are provided, but many people bring their own.
What else should we bring?
Don’t bring too much – you won’t really have a place to store your things. Do bring a plastic water bottle – you can refill it inside the stadium, and sunscreen if necessary.
Where can we stay and watch the game?
After the work is done, there will be a gift card raffle for participants, then you will be released to watch the game. Your wristband will entitle you to stand in the student section at the east end of the South Gate.
